Read more about his Sire and Dam’s Sire:

Cabaret was the founding sire of Hilltop Farm and in fact it was his purchase that started the dream that became Hilltop Farm as we know it.  Under Scott Hassler, Cabaret competed in Preliminary Eventing and Open Jumpers before finding his ultimate success in the Dressage arena.  A consistent competitor through Grand Prix, Cabaret ended his show career with an impressive 13 National Titles and countless Championships.  Cabaret’s scope and movement was clearly foretold by his pedigree which included the incomparable Holsteiner stallions Cor de la Bryere, Landgraf, and Ladykiller xx which represent two of the most influential jumping lines in the world and are cornerstones for the Holsteiner breed.

VOLTAIRE needs no introduction as an exceptional International showjumper, with the most offspring of any stallion at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, and second in the World Breeding Ranking of Showjumping Sires.  As an eight year old, VOLTAIRE jumped 1.50 meter courses with a great deal of success.  His strength was shown in 1988 International Jumping events at Calgary, Stockholm, Lanaken, Helsinki, Wiesbaden, and Wembley.  In 1989, he brought his career to a successful conclusion winning the Grand Prix of Berlin with Jos Lansink, and second in the Leeuwarden Grand Prix.  He has over 50 approved sons, with many offspring at Grand Prix level, including Finesse, Altaire, Kahlua, Play It Again, Helios, Electro, Kannan, and  Especial.  Another offspring, Foltaire, is famous in the International dressage arena under Gunther Seidel.

VOLTAIRE is a cross of two outstanding bloodlines, Furioso II and Gotthard.  Furioso II produced 200 State Premium mares, and over 70 approved stallions.  The French stallion Mexico is a full brother to Furioso II, and his son, Le Mexico, frequently appears in the pedigrees of successful showjumpers.  On the other side of VOLTAIRE's pedigree is the legendary Gotthard, whose strength continues on in his sons and grandsons.

VOLTAIRE has been awarded USA "Hunter Sire of the Year" for 2001, 2002, and 2003; and is one of the top KWPN Jumping Sires with an Index of 151 points.
